“Call of Duty: Warzone” is a battle royale game
Activision went all in with the trailer for “Call of Duty: Warzone”. Together with an iconic remix of LL Cool J’s “Mama Said Knock You Out”, the teaser showcases well the explosive nature of the FPS franchise.
Even though LL Cool J released his iconic song in 1991, it was the 2017 “Undefeated Remix” that was used in “Call of Duty: Warzone”.
The “Call of Duty” series was originally released in 2003. Since then, it has been one of the best-selling gaming franchises alongside “Pokémon” and “Grand Theft Auto”.
In the wake of popular free-to-play battle royale games, Activision has decided to launch its own version with “Call of Duty: Warzone”. The title has been available since March 10 on various platforms including PC systems and Xbox One. It is the third battle royale variant of the series and 150 players can connect to a server simultaneously.
