“Borderlands” is a popular action game franchise
The director of “Hostel”, “The House with a Clock in Its Walls” and “Death Wish” has been announced as the new director of the “Borderlands” movie adaptation.
This information was revealed in a tweet by the development studio of the video game franchise. Since then, it has been deleted. It appears that the film will be in partnership with Lionsgate and Arad Productions.
Even if Eli Roth is known for his gruesome horror movies, he also worked on several action films like Bruce Willis’ “Death Wish”. As such, he should do a great work to bring the “Borderlands” series on the big screen.
The video game franchise was first launched in 2009. It has a dedicated community that enjoys the humour, characters and comic-book style of “Borderlands”.
The latest instalment of the series came out in late 2019. “Borderlands 3” is available on PC, Mac, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Google Stadia.
