Ubisoft’s 'Star Wars Outlaws': a bold new adventure in the galaxy
After much anticipation and a series of tantalizing teasers, Ubisoft’s highly awaited "Star Wars" game has officially arrived on store shelves.
Ubisoft's long-awaited "Star Wars Outlaws" has finally arrived, marking the French studio’s debut in the iconic galaxy. Released this Friday, the game offers a fresh take on the Star Wars universe with an open-world adventure starring Kay Vess, a young outlaw navigating the galaxy for an epic heist.
Julian Gerighty, the studio’s creative director, described the project as a childhood dream realized. Developed by Sweden's Massive Entertainment, "Outlaws" features immersive environments including cities and space stations, all meticulously designed to match the franchise’s rich sci-fi world.
Distinct from previous Star Wars games, "Outlaws" shifts the focus to the galaxy's underworld, eschewing the traditional Jedi themes. Set between "Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi," the game introduces new characters and planets. It is also the first Star Wars game developed by a publisher other than EA since 2021.
With a strong track record of successful Star Wars titles, "Outlaws" is expected to be a hit among fans.
